What is the goal of KhmerLive.TV?

Our goal is to help Cambodians abroad keep in touch with their culture. It is difficult to get access to cambodian TV abroad except in some countries like USA, France or Australia.

Since when KhmerLive.TV exists?

KhmerLive.TV exists since July 2009.

Will this website always be free?

Yes! This website will always be free of charge for the viewers.

How can I watch on a Mac?

You may need to install Windows Media player components for Quicktime available at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx. You may also want the standalone player at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/mac/default.aspx

How can I watch on a Windows Mobile phone?

Open "Opera" web browser and go to http://www.khmerlive.tv . The TV program should play right away. If you want to watch in Windows Media Player or you don't have Opera installed, you can click on the link "Open stream in Windows Media Player" from www.khmerlive.tv website.

How can I watch on an iPhone?

You can watch khmerlive.tv stream via TVU on your iPhone. You will need to install TVUplayer($4.99) or TVUlite(free) on your iPhone. Once installed, search for "khmer" and you should see the stream for this website.

How much data am I downloading when viewing this TV?

If you have a monthly limit on your internet usage, you may want to be careful not to exceed that limit. As we are currently streaming at 220kbps, it is about 100MB per hour.

Is there more than one TV channel?

No. For the moment, there is only one live channel available. You can still watch in 6 hours and 12 hours playback or the videos in Archive section.

Can KhmerLive.TV stream in better quality?

The video quality can be improved if I increase the stream bitrate. It is now set to 220 kbps. However, to keep the stream free of charge for the viewers, we cannot afford streaming in better video quality.

How can I watch in full screen mode?

You can right-click on the video, select Zoom and Full Screen. Double-click on the video may also work. Another possibility is to click on "Open stream in Windows Media Player" to view in Windows media player.
